The Little Lost Balloon Book Review

Vivian's Find of the week is The Little Lost Balloon

Vivian's Kids Love Books. Queenie I & II can sit for hours and look at books. They can also sit for hours and listen to books which makes mommies throat a little sore (and may be the reason Im dealing with Tonsillitis right now).

A New favorite at our house is this wonder book called The Little Lost Balloon by Michael Burke. Even though this is a longer children's book and my kids are young they were captivated by Blue, The Little Lost Balloon. Blue captivates his readers and dares them to imagine where he ends up next on his big adventure. The Pictures are visually stimulating, each one draws you into the story about blue.

As a former teacher, this book would be amazing to use in the classroom. The author provide doodle pages at the end of the book for readers to draw their dreams on. Teachers could make their own dream pages for their students to draw and write about their dreams.

This Author touched my heart by writing and illustrating books about challenges that kids face. He is also a part of the Eco-Libris program which plants a tree for each book sold. So go plant a tree by buying The Little Lost Balloon or check out Under the Desk by Amanda Le Roux and illustrated by Michael Burke. The Author's website is also a site to behold. I lost myself in it for a while this morning.

With more books coming soon Michael Burke is definitely on my watch list!
