I love this great big world that we are all a part of. I can never get enough of experiencing all that other cultures have to offer…….clothes, foods, dance, music, art, I enjoy it all.

Unfortunately my current life doesn’t allow for the travel that would be involved in seeing it all. Thanks to the internet I can get a visual here and there but nothing beats the hands on up close and personal experience.

After my husband and I married my need for tangible diversity really became tenfold. Trying to meld to cultures together is not without challenge. Our menus alone took a bit of creativity but then when trying to decorate our home my challenges were much greater.

I’d browsed NOVICA before and fell in love with the broad range of cultural art. Whether looking for something simple like Silver Pendant Necklaces, Amber Earrings or something more unique I was easily drawn in by the artisan quality of each and every piece.

NOVICA provides a bridge between the consumer and global artists. From home decor, jewelry, musical instruments, to symbolic sculptures. What I enjoy beyond the beauty of each piece of art is that each artist illustrates the details of how the item was crafted and where in our global community the piece is coming from. Not only can I admire the talents for hours at a time but I relish each and every tale in connection.

My only complaint is that I have a very strong tactile need as well as visual. Often times I have a question about a particular piece of work that cannot be answered by the written account and I’m not sure how the piece would function in my home.

Recently I purchased  an art glass centerpiece, 'Sun Gloss,'  I knew I would love the glossy bands of yellow, orange, brown and green crisscross fusion of glass but I could not tell is it would fit in the space I had purchased it for. 

When the piece arrived I was very impressed with the talent and labor that went into the Brazilian craft I would have loved it to be wider and deeper but I’m still please. I think had I actually had a hands on purchase I might have gotten two to fill the space. However over all I’m please and I am still able to put it to good use……I still may try to get the second piece.

I’ve since learned that I am not the only NOVICA customer that has fallen in love with the artisan works but would like the experience of seeing and feeling an item in person and that I could have had a NOVICA party has me excited about future prospects. NOVICA customers have voiced that they would love to see their products in person. For this reason, NOVICA has launched NOVICIA Live, a new party plan division giving Consultants the opportunity to do just that -- showcase beautiful gifts and jewelry through home parties in an entertaining way, while supporting artisans worldwide.

What an amazing opportunity for those looking for a bit of an income especially if you have an aptitude for direct sales. I think it’s still pretty early in their launch giving you ample opportunity to build a client base (me for instance)!
